Fireworks Spectacular Also on Card
(Slinger, WI) Memorial Day weekend at the Slinger Super Speedway traditionally ushers in a host a big summer racing events, and this weekend is no exception as E.H. Wolf and Sons, Inc. presents the Memorial Day Special. The Sunday night, May 25, program features a 75-lap main event for the super late models and is always one of the bigger races of the season.
Last year, before a near capacity crowd, Rob Braun drove to his first career super late model feature win.
“It was awesome. It’s something you strive to achieve for a long time,” said Braun, of his first win. “And to do that on Memorial Day weekend, in front of a big crowd, it made it that much more special.”
The super late models will be joined on Sunday night by a full program for the late models, area sportsman, Slinger bee’s and figure 8’s. In addition, the first of three scheduled fireworks shows for the season will take place. The fireworks show will be put on by Bartolotta Fireworks – one of the premier fireworks presenters in the Midwest.
Gates open Sunday night at 4:30 p.m. with qualifying scheduled for 5:00. Opening ceremonies go off at 6:30 with racing to follow. Monday night, May 26, will serve as a rain date for the E.H. Wolf and Sons, Inc. event.
Fans can save money by purchasing their admission tickets in advance at B&S Liquor (Hwy 83 Hartford); Pioneer Plaza (Hwy 41 Richfield); Schaefer's BP (Hwy 60 Slinger); or Chill-n-Fill (downtown Slinger).
