Holiday Weekend Racing a Slinger EH Wolf Tradition
(Slinger, WI) Memorial Day weekend at the Slinger Super Speedway traditionally ushers in a host a big summer racing events, and this weekend is no exception as E.H. Wolf and Sons, Inc. presents the Memorial Day Special. The Sunday night, May 29, program features a 75-lap main event for the super late models and is always one of the bigger races of the season.
The super late models will be joined on Sunday night by a full program for the late models, area sportsman, Heros bees and figure 8’s. In addition, the first of three scheduled fireworks shows for the season will take place. The fireworks show will be put on by Bartolotta Fireworks – one of the premier fireworks presenters in the Midwest.
“It’s just one of those nights that you circle on your racing calendar,” said Slinger resident and super late model standout, Brad Keith. “I’ve lived in Slinger for a lot of years. The community comes out to support the race track on these nights so you can count on racing in front of a full house,” continued Keith. “How many towns get fireworks three nights a year?”
Gates open Sunday evening at 4:45 p.m. with qualifying at 5:00. Opening ceremonies are set for 6:30 with racing to follow. In the event of inclement weather, Monday, May 30 will serve as a rain date.
