(Slinger, WI) With school out for the summer, kids take center stage, Sunday night, June 15, at the Slinger Super Speedway as P.M.F. Landscape Supply presents Scout Night. All uniformed scouts will be admitted free on Sunday night.

They’ll witness a full program of super late model; late model; area sportsman; Slinger bee and figure 8 racing. In addition, kids 11 and under will get rides in the PMF Bus, prior to the evening’s race festivities.

The scouts in attendance will have one of their own to cheer for Sunday night as Grafton high school student Matt Rose will compete in the Slinger Bee’s. Rose is currently ranked ninth in the division’s championship standings. The 16-year-old driver is a member of Troop 840 and holds the rank of star scout.

“There are a lot of lessons that I take from scouting into the race car every week,” said Rose. “Work hard, do your best and have fun with it is how I approach scouting and racing.”

Gates open Sunday night at 4:30 p.m. with qualifying scheduled for 5:00. Kid’s race car rides will begin at 6:00 with opening ceremonies set for 6:30 and racing to follow.
