(Slinger, WI) Seven divisions will be in action as the Slinger Super Speedway returns to afternoon racing, Sunday, May 3.

Super late models will be joined by late models, area sportsman, Slinger bees and figure 8’s, one on one spectators, and the visiting American Super Cup’s as the high banked quarter mile oval once again comes to life under the daylight.

“It was sure entertaining for the fans this afternoon,” said opening day super late model winner, Dennis Prunty. “Most of the time the sun makes the track a little greasy, when you’re racing in the day. So we have to make a few little adjustments to the car.”

Gates open Sunday afternoon at noon with qualifying to follow. Kid’s race car rides will begin at 1:40 p.m. with opening ceremonies set for 2:00 and racing to follow.

No racing is scheduled for Mother’s Day, Sunday May 10. Then on May 17, the Sunday night tradition continues as racing action returns under the lights.
