(Slinger, WI)—Ty Majeski knows that the 36th annual SuperSeal Slinger Nationals, presented by Miller Lite is a special race and he knows the winner will have to be on top of their game. And that’s why Majeski and his team were at the Slinger Super Speedway recently, to test under racing conditions. The 199-lap Nationals is scheduled for Tuesday night, July 14th and offers a rain date of July 15th.

Majeski took advantage of an off night on his team’s busy schedule to compete in a regular, weekly racing program. He qualified a disappointing 19th, but quickly recovered come feature time, driving from the tail of the field to second at the checkers.

“This place is so much different than any other place I’ve ever raced at,” said Majeski. “With the banking and the speed, you really have to have a different set up package. And we got it pretty close.”

A staple of the Midwestern short-track racing scene, the Nationals have a long history of being a proving ground for the best super late model competitors. Among past Nationals winners include notable drivers; Matt Kenseth, Kyle Busch, Lowell Bennett, Conrad Morgan, Mark Martin, Rich Bickle, Butch Miller, the late Joe Shear, Alan Kulwicki and Dick Trickle and the first winner Larry Detjens.

As the Alan Kulwicki Driver Development point leader, and from Wisconsin, Majeski understands the importance the Slinger Nationals has in the short-track racing landscape.

“Slinger was Alan’s home track,” Majeski continued. “So it’s really special to come back here and hopefully we can represent him well at the Slinger Nationals.”

Tickets for the SuperSeal Slinger Nationals presented by Miller Lite are now on sale at the track office. An advance sale ticket purchase affords fans a five dollar savings over race-day general admission.
