Slinger, Wis., Aug 2—A sudden and swift hail storm came upon the track during the second super late model heat race and forced the postponement of the racing action at the Slinger Super Speedway Sunday evening.

Slinger, Wis., Aug 2—A sudden and swift hail storm came upon the track during the second super late model heat race and forced the postponement of the racing action at the Slinger Super Speedway Sunday evening.

Fans in attendance are encouraged to keep their ticket stubs and redeem them for admittance to next Sunday night’s full racing program featuring the super late model, late model, Midwest sportsman, Slinger Bees, spectator eliminator, and Figure 8 divisions.

Randy Schuler captured the victory in the lone super late model heat race completed, taking the checkered flag in a photo finish with Jerry Eckhardt. Chris Blawat finished third while Braison Bennett and Brady Bennett completed the top five in fourth and fifth respectively.

Dennis Prunty was the fastest qualifier in the super late model division after turning in a lap at 11.416 seconds and Mike Held topped the late models with a 12.314 second lap. Nick Egan led the Area Sportsman qualifying after circling the speedway in 13.077 seconds and eleven year old Emery Waldron was the fastest qualifier in the Slinger Bees with a lap at 14.601 seconds.
