$1000 Up For Grabs in Miss Slinger Speedway Contest
(Slinger, WI) After a scheduled week off, the late model division returns to Sunday night action at the Slinger Super Speedway, June 25.
“As much as you want to race every lap of every week, sometimes it’s good to have a week off here and there,” stated late model championship point leader Ryan Gutknecht. “It gives the team a chance to breathe and recharge the battery a little bit. But now I’m chomping at the bit to get back at it.”
The super late models will join the late models, Midwest sportsman, super beez, Heros bee’s, figure 8’s and one-on-one spectator races.
Also on the card Sunday night is the annual Miss Slinger Super Speedway contest. The annual pageant crowns the 2017-18 trophy queen and offers $1000 to the winner.
Gates open Sunday evening at 4:45 p.m. with qualifying at 5:00. Opening ceremonies are set for 6:30 with racing to follow.
