Holiday Weekend Racing Features Huge Fireworks Display
(Slinger, WI) The Independence Day weekend ushers in the half-way point of weekly racing at the Slinger Super Speedway and brings with it excitement both on track and off track as Alto-Shaam presents the We’re Hiring Firecracker 75. The Sunday night, July 2, program features a 75-lap main event for the super late models and is always one of the bigger races of the season.

The super late models will be joined on Sunday night by a full program for the late models, Area sportsman, super beez, Slinger bee’s, figure 8’s and one-on-one spectator races. In addition, the evening will feature a huge fireworks display.
“This Fourth of July race, it’s a big one for us,” said super late model point leader Steve Apel. “A lot of guys come in for this night so it’ll be interesting to see who steps up and who puts their nose in and battles with everyone up front.”
Gates open Sunday evening at 4:45 p.m. with qualifying at 5:10. Opening ceremonies are set for 6:30 with racing to follow. In the event of inclement weather, Monday, July 3 will serve as a rain date.
