(Slinger, WI) Slinger Speedway has added the Uptown Super Late Models to the July 10 SRX Series event. The Uptown Super Late Models are the premier weekly racing division at Slinger Speedway and are sure to put on a great show for the fans. “We have already sold tickets to fans from 23 different states many of them traveling to Slinger for the first time, now they get to see the SRX Series and get treated to a special 75 Lap Uptown Super Late Model race, Slinger Speedway promoter Todd Thelen announced today.” The green flag for the Uptown Super Late Model race will tentatively drop at 5:30pm for a distance of 75 laps. Opening ceremonies for the SRX race will take place at 6:30 with the first SRX race at 7 pm.
“We are excited to hear that the Supers will be racing on the same night as SRX”, said Super Late Model driver Dennis Prunty. I will have both cars ready for the Nationals, and will decide after the Nationals which car I will drive Saturday night. The Pure Fuel #42 or the Wiedmeyer #22.”
Former NASCAR Star Greg Biffle was added to the Slinger line up last week to complete the SRX 12-car lineup. He will join Tony Stewart, Tony Kanaan, Paul Tracy, Bobby Labonte, Willy T. Ribbs, Bill Elliott, Ernie Francis Jr., Marco Andretti, Helio Castroneves, Michael Waltrip, Greg Biffle, and the winner of the SupplyZone Slinger Nationals 200 presented by Miller Lite and WABAM on Tuesday July 6.
