(Slinger, WI) The Prelude to the Nationals returns to the Slinger Super Speedway, Sunday night, July 13 as A&W Iron & Metal, Inc presents the King of the High Banks. The headline event features the Big 8 Series in a 68-lap feature.
The race will pit Slinger weekly late model competitors against the best Big 8 Series touring stars.
Making their first ever appearance at the Slinger Super Speedway will be the Mid-American Stock Car Series. For years the track has utilized the traveling series rules as a base for its popular Midwest Sportsman division. However Sunday night marks the first time the traveling series will host a points-paying race at the historic venue.
Also on the Prelude to the Nationals card will be a full program for the Area Sportsman, Slinger bees and figure 8’s.
Gates open Sunday night at 4:30 p.m. with qualifying scheduled for 5:00. Opening ceremonies are set for 6:30 with racing to follow.
Fans can save money by purchasing their admission tickets in advance at B&S Liquor (Hwy 83 Hartford); Pioneer Plaza (Hwy 41 Richfield); Schaefer’s BP (Hwy 60 Slinger); Addison Station (Hwy 41 & K) or Chill-n-Fill (downtown Slinger).
