(Slinger, WI)—The 36th annual SuperSeal Slinger Nationals, presented by Miller Lite will offer a $50,000 total purse, with $10,000 going the way of the winning driver. The 199-lap Nationals are scheduled for Tuesday night, July 14th and offer a rain date of July 15th.

(Slinger, WI)—The 36th annual SuperSeal Slinger Nationals, presented by Miller Lite will offer a $50,000 total purse, with $10,000 going the way of the winning driver. The 199-lap Nationals are scheduled for Tuesday night, July 14th and offer a rain date of July 15th.
A staple of the Midwestern short-track racing scene, the Nationals have a long history of being a proving ground for the best super late model competitors. Among past Nationals winners include notable drivers; Matt Kenseth, Kyle Busch, Lowell Bennett, Conrad Morgan, Mark Martin, Rich Bickle, Butch Miller, the late Joe Shear, Alan Kulwicki and Dick Trickle and the first winner Larry Detjens.
Ross Kenseth, one of the sports rising young stars has recently filed an entry blank for this year’s Nationals.

The third generation racing Kenseth recently scored his first career ARCA Racing Series win, at Michigan International Speedway. On Fathers Day he made his NASCAR Xfinity Series debut, behind the wheel of a Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota, staring second and finishing 6th in his rookie debut.
At the Slinger Nationals, Kenseth will be driving a second car for former track champion Dennis Prunty. Prunty tuned the car in racing competition last Sunday and drove it to victory in the super late model feature.
“I didn’t want to give him a car we didn’t know would be good or not, so someone should call him tomorrow and tell him it’s pretty good,” said Prunty after scoring his second feature win of the year.
Ross Kenseth has tasted success at the Slinger Nationals, winning the support division late model race in 2009, yet the super late model Nationals crown is one that has eluded him.
Tickets for the SuperSeal Slinger Nationals presented by Miller Lite are now on sale at the track office. An advance sale ticket purchase affords fans a five dollar savings over race-day general admission.
