DENNIS PRUNTY BACK IN VICTORY LANE AT SLINGER

Dennis Prunty claimed another victory at Slinger Speedway, winning the 50-lap Late Model feature and the 602 Crater event. Jake Schraufnagel, Karter Stark, and Marty Tackes also scored wins in a packed night of racing and thrills capped by a fiery burnout show.

Slinger, Wis., Aug 3—Following up his super late model win a week ago, Dennis Prunty once again found himself in victory lane at the Slinger Speedway, this time after winning the 50-lap Uptown Motor Cars Late Model feature Sunday night.
Prunty took the lead from Ryan Gutknecht on lap six by using the outside groove and maintained the top spot through several restarts to secure the victory. Tyler Schley challenged Prunty throughout the race but found himself having to fend off Jayden Johnson for the runner-up spot as the laps wound down. Schley managed to hang onto second place at the checkered flag while Johnson finished third. Jon Reynolds Jr. edged Billy Braun for the fourth position, leaving Braun to take the fifth spot. Jerry Mueller crossed the finish line in sixth followed by Ryan Weyer and Zach Prunty in seventh and eighth place respectively. Early leader Ryan Gutknecht finished ninth and Jacob Vanoskey was tenth.
Late Model heat races were won by Drew Bernhagen, Justin Okruhlica, and Jayden Johnson and Zach Prunty set fast time with a qualifying lap time of 12.120 seconds.
Dennis Prunty also drove the car normally piloted by John DeAngelis Jr. to the victory in the Raceway Bar and Grill 602 Crater 40-lap feature after the initial winner was disqualified following post-race technical inspection. Dale Prunty jumped in Dennis Prunty’s regular 602 Crater ride and finished a strong second while Al Stippich was third. Dan Thomsen finished fourth and Larry Johnson was fifth while Justin Poenitsch finished sixth. Dennis Prunty was the fastest qualifier in the division after turning in a lap time of 11.751 seconds.
Jake Schraufnagel held off Brady Held to win the 35-lap Bobcat Plus Sportsmen main event in a close finish. Tom Elsinger Jr. finished third followed by Brandon Tackes and Dale Lecus Sr. in fourth and fifth respectively. Brandon Tackes was the winner of the sportsman heat race and Jake Schraufnagel took top honors in qualifying after circling the speedway in 12.761 seconds.
Karter Stark drove to a dominating win in the 25-lap Outdoor Dock and Lift Super Beez main event. Paul Reagles finished second while Tyler Muller was third. Carl Benn and Morgan Zerwinski completed the top five finishers in fourth and fifth respectively. Karter Stark was also the fastest qualifier with a qualifying lap time of 13.148 seconds.
Marty Tackes scored his first feature victory of the season in the 25-lap Finish Line Bar and Grill Slinger Bees main event. Kendall Becker was second followed by Ricky Gebhard in third. Matthew Wandrey and Morgan Zerwinski completed the top five finishers in fourth and fifth. Owen Benn and Morgan Zerwinski were the winners of the Slinger Bees heat races and Rachel Czarapata set a new track record in qualifying with a qualifying time of 15.019 seconds.
The evening was brought to a close by Russ Lorbiecki with a thrill show that included a fiery burnout among other stunts.
