JAYDEN JOHNSON WINS AND SECURES LATE MODEL CHAMPIONSHIP AT SLINGER
Jayden Johnson clinched the 2025 Uptown Motor Cars Late Model track championship at Slinger Speedway with his second straight and third overall feature win Sunday. Rookie-of-the-Year honors capped his standout season as he held off Evan and Jakob Hassler in the 55-lap finale.

Slinger, Wis., Sept 7—Jayden Johnson drove to this second consecutive and third overall Uptown Motor Cars Late Model feature victory in the 55-lap main event on Championship Sunday afternoon at the Slinger Speedway enroute to the track championship in the division.
“We’ve had a good car all season thanks to Casey Johnson and we’ve worked hard all year,” Jayden Johnson stated from victory lane after wrapping up a successful rookie season that resulted in Rookie-of-the-Year honors as well as the 2025 Track Championship. “I didn’t even know where we were in the point standings until about two weeks ago when they told me we were leading,” Johnson continued, “so this is pretty cool.”
Johnson took the lead from Evan Hassler on lap 38 and held off brothers Evan and Jakob Hassler at the checkered flag. Mike Held finished in fourth place behind the Hassler brothers and Jon Reynolds Jr. crossed the finish line in fifth place. Billy Braun recovered from an early incident to finish sixth followed by Ryan Weyer and Jerry Mueller in seventh and eighth place respectively. Jacob Vanoskey was ninth and Tyler Hromadka finished tenth. Zach Prunty bested a field of 20 cars to nail down fast time honors with a qualifying lap of 12.088 seconds.
Marty Tackes won the 30-lap Finish Line Bar and Grill Slinger Bees feature which enabled him to win his first Slinger Bees track championship. Kendall Becker finished a close second while Dominic Matts turned in a strong performance with a third-place result. Ricky Gebhard finished in fourth place and Travis Kreuser was fifth. Dominic Matts won the 12-lap bonus race for the Slinger Bees over Rachel Czarapata and Rookie-of-the-Year Owen Benn. Tim Kreuser and Matthew Wandrey rounded out the top five finishers. Rachel Czarapata was the fastest qualifier with a lap time of 15.007 seconds.
After several years of competing at the Slinger Speedway, Art Hahn won his first career feature in the 30-lap Great North Legends main event. Lincoln Cain finished second followed by Carter Stein and Hayden Schmuhl in third and fourth respectively. Alex Ruedinger was fifth. Lincoln Cain was the fastest qualifier after turning in a qualifying lap in 13.287 seconds.
Oliver Weinkauf won the 20-lap Johnson and Sons Paving Bandolero main event and also won the Bandolero track championship. Emily Billings crossed the finish line in second place followed by Axel Oldenhoff in third and Lincoln Johnson in fourth. Harley Johnson finished fifth. The 10-lap Bandolero bonus race was won by Harley Johnson over Markus Obermeyer and Emily Billings. Oliver Weinkauf also set fast time with a qualifying lap time of 14.254 seconds.
Caleb Arneson drove all night after competing in Minnesota the night before and won the 20-lap Marine Corps High School Racing Association feature over track champion Gracie Flanagan. Kennedy Krueger finished third while Aiden Laubensten was fourth and Peyton Payne was fifth. Caleb Arneson also was the fastest qualifier with a lap time of 15.315 seconds.
Scott Goetzke won the 10-lap Finish Line Bar and Grill Figure 8 feature and secured the 2025 track championship in the division. Rick Bruskiewicz finished second and Russ Lorbiecki was third. Kendall Becker and Bill Shavik completed the top five in fourth and fifth.
