Majeski started tenth and worked his way forward before taking the lead from Prunty exiting turn two and once out front was never contested enroute to the checkered flag.
“On the initial starts some of the guys had issues and the bottom lane stacked up which really played into my favor,” Majeski explained from victory lane, “It really made my job easy tonight and we got track position early and got ahead of the guys I thought I was really going to have to battle. This is a newer car for us and we were trying to get some laps on it and it was pretty good tonight.”
Gabe Sommers ran in the top five all night and rallied late to charge into second place which is where he finished about a half straightaway behind Majeski.
“The car was pretty good tonight and that’s probably the best car I’ve ever had here,” Sommers told the crowd afterwards, “The car felt really good in the long run and I’m really proud of my team for all their hard work. The car fired off tight all night and I just needed a little bit more turn on (corner) entry but Ty had a really good car tonight.”
Dennis Prunty led the opening laps and ran a steady race to finish with a solid third place result.
“I guess for my age I did OK and maybe we should get a sponsor for second and third place because if Ty (Majeski) is going to be here, he’s going to be tough to beat that’s for sure,” Prunty said, “I have to thank my sponsors, crew, and family as its been a few rough weeks with different things going on and I’m just glad everyone was able to be here. We’ll come back next week and watch it again.”
