(Slinger, WI) The popular Midwest Sportsman return to the Slinger Super Speedway, Sunday night, June, 14 for their second appearance in three weeks.
Two weeks ago in the years first appearance for the Midwest Sportsman, Brian Holtz held of the challenges of 2014 track champion, Ryan Gutknecht and 2015 Southeastern Wisconsin Short Track Hall of Fame inductee, Bill Pretzel.

Two weeks ago in the years first appearance for the Midwest Sportsman, Brian Holtz held of the challenges of 2014 track champion, Ryan Gutknecht and 2015 Southeastern Wisconsin Short Track Hall of Fame inductee, Bill Pretzel.
“It’d been a few years since I won here,” said a jubilant Holtz. “This track is just so much fun and to run up front with guys like Ryan and Bill is just a blast.”
The Midwest Sportsman will be joined Sunday night by super late models, late models, Slinger bee’s, spectator eliminator as well as the night capper, the figure 8’s.
Kids age 6 to 11 will enter the front stretch at 6:15 before racing starts to gather up $50,000 penny’s. Mixed in with the penny’s will be 50 tokens with $10 cash.
Gates open Sunday evening at 4:45 p.m. with qualifying at 5:00. Opening ceremonies are set for 6:30 with racing to follow.
